The designated Chief of Cabinet, Manuel Adorni, will formally take office next Monday when President Javier Milei swears him in as the new coordinating minister. On the same day, a new power structure within La Libertad Avanza (LLA) will officially begin, in which the General Secretary of the Presidency, Karina Milei, will be strengthened, as Adorni is a man from her inner circle. The transition of Santiago Caputo from advisor to minister remains to be confirmed, to balance the power within the 'iron triangle' that he forms with the national leader and his sister. After being appointed, Adorni thanked the head of state for choosing him for the 'new stage', where he will work to 'deepen structural reforms'. 'Thank you also to the General Secretary of the Presidency, Karina Milei, for her trust and permanent support,' he expressed, still serving as presidential spokesperson. With his new responsibilities, Adorni will continue at the Casa Rosada and will not take up his seat as a legislator for the City of Buenos Aires, a position he was elected to on May 18 after winning the local election. It is expected that his current number two, Javier Lanari, will replace him as spokesperson, although Adorni himself will remain the central figure in the President's communications.
